The East Grand Forks Public School District board voted Jan. 29 to accept $24,562.98 in donations to support music, esports, athletics and student scholarships.
A board member moved to accept the donations listed in the packet, which included: an ETF Boosters gift of $1,030 to girls tennis for an overnight stay; $50 from the Pembina Gorge Foundation for general music; $500 from Megan Traga and $250 from Daniel Black for esports funding; $3,507.50 from East Grand Forks Music Boosters to general music; $500 to the Monte Zach scholarship from Jason and Zach; several Hugo's donations (ranging from $114.73 to $229.50) allocated to various schools; and two anonymous donations of $3,800 and $10,400. The board approved the motion to accept the full list; the items were approved as presented.
The total value of donations approved was $24,562.98. Acting Chair thanked donors and the board approved acceptance on a voice vote. The donations will be recorded in district financial reports and allocated to the listed programs per donor designation.
