Tourism director urges county support for Moffat County 115th anniversary celebration

Tom Klanschnitz, director of Moffat County Tourism and a county employee since 2018, used the public comment period on Jan. 27 to invite commissioners and county staff to a Feb. 27 celebration marking Moffat County’s 115th anniversary.
Klanschnitz said the Museum of Northwest Colorado will host the event and that the first 50 attendees will receive a commemorative Moffat County pin. He asked the board to publicize the celebration to county employees and encouraged use of the anniversary logo in email signatures and other materials during the coming month.
The board acknowledged the comment and thanked Klanschnitz; no formal action was taken during the public comment period.
