Hamilton County commissioners approved the consent agenda at their Jan. 29 meeting, advancing a series of administrative items, renewals and procurement awards.
Administration presented items 8 through 35, which included acceptance of small donations, award of construction and services contracts, and multiple renewals of Job and Family Services (JFS) agreements for group-home and residential treatment services. Notable items included a $4,824,000 award to Sentinel Offender Services for electronic monitoring devices for adult probation (item 14) and renewals of several group home contracts ranging from six-figure to low seven-figure amounts for residential treatment and group-home services.
Finance staff totaled the contracts on the agenda at $10,198,342.36 and read that figure into the record. During final roll-call votes commissioners approved the consent agenda but Vice President Reese announced an abstention on item 10 (a $220,000 award to Alpha Construction for a fire-pump replacement at 800 Broadway). The commission recorded two yes votes and one abstention for that item.
The board recorded motions and roll-call confirmations for the consent actions and adjourned after completing the agenda.
