Fayetteville outlines June launch for cart-based recycling, staff to seek processor and monitoring contracts

Fayetteville city staff and representatives of the Recycling Partnership told the Environmental Action Committee on Nov. 17 that the city intends to move from bin-based curbside recycling to a cart-based system, with procurement of carts targeted for December and a full rollout aimed for June. "We'll be advising and helping on the processing contract," Environmental Director Peter Nierngarten said, adding staff will work with the Recycling Partnership on outreach and education.
