The Hampstead Planning & Zoning Commission closed a public hearing Wednesday on the town’s portion of the 2024 Carroll County Water Resources element after the panel said it had no substantive public testimony to record.
Commission members opened the hearing to accept verbal or written comments on the county’s draft, which is currently in a 60-day review period. Staff explained the purpose was limited to collecting input on the Hampstead section and that any comments would be forwarded to the Carroll County Department of Planning.
A motion to close the hearing was made, seconded and approved by voice vote. Commissioners noted they had reviewed the material previously and that no new town-level objections or substantive remarks were presented during the hearing. The commission will send any written comments it receives to Carroll County for consideration.
