DeKalb County Plan Commission elects officers, confirms appointments and approves routine business

The DeKalb County Plan Commission conducted organizational business at its January meeting, holding officer elections and approving routine administrative items.
The commission opened officer elections for president, vice president and secretary. Sandy Harrison nominated Jason Carnahan for president; a voice vote approved the nomination and Carnahan continues as president. A nomination and voice vote approved Bill Van Wy as vice president. Meredith Wright was nominated and approved as secretary.
The commission confirmed city and town representative assignments and asked that Jerry Yoder be added to St. Joe representation; they also confirmed the Board of Zoning Appeals member appointment with Jason Carnahan as the representative and Angie Holt as the alternate. The plat committee membership (Alicia Rogers, Suzanne Davis, Sandy Harrison, Jerry Yoder and Jason Carnahan) was moved and approved.
The commission moved and approved the minutes from the Dec. 17 meeting and approved claims for December 2025. The meeting recessed briefly for a presentation and then adjourned following the consultant presentation on the comprehensive plan.
