The Town of Zionsville Redevelopment Commission opened its Jan. 27, 2026 meeting with the reading and administration of the oath of office for appointed commissioners, then moved immediately to elect officers for the year.
"And I will nominate Commissioner Evan Norris for that position," said Speaker 1, who nominated Evan Norris for president. Speaker 4 seconded the nomination. After a roll-call vote of the commissioners present, the commission voted in favor and Evan Norris was installed as president.
Speaker 3 later nominated Darren Kitner for vice president; that nomination was carried by vote. The commission also appointed Commissioner Rosenberg as secretary after a nomination and second.
Each of the officer appointments was approved by roll call. Commissioners recorded on the roll included Commissioner Rosenberg, Commissioner Ezra, Commissioner Vaughn and Commissioner Norris; another attendee also voted aye during each roll call.
The oath read at the start of the meeting referenced support for the U.S. Constitution, the Indiana Constitution and "the ordinances of the Town of Zionsville, Indiana," and those present affirmed to "faithfully, honestly, and impartially discharge the duties" of redevelopment commissioner.
With new officers in place, the commission proceeded to routine business and committee updates before adjourning.
