Wastewater agency approves boundary change removing about 6.32 acres in Bellevue planning area

The Sarpy County and Cities Wastewater Agency on Jan. 28 approved Resolution 2 to grant a boundary change and remove about 6.32 acres from the agency’s jurisdiction where the parcel had previously straddled Bellevue’s extraterritorial jurisdiction (ETJ) and Sarpy County.
Project engineer Jeff Thompson explained the parcel had been split by Bellevue’s ETJ and Sarpy County; the owner, identified in the transcript as Mr. Dempsey, sought a jurisdictional consolidation so the property could proceed as a residential estate development. Thompson said the property sits north of La Platte Road between Bojansky Road and a local cove and lies on the southern fringe of the agency’s service area. He told the board the county approved moving the ETJ jurisdiction to Bellevue and that Bellevue subsequently requested removal of the portion inside the agency boundary.
Chairman Kelly called for a motion; the motion to approve was made by Bellevue and seconded by Papillion. The transcript records the vote as 6 in favor and "Motion carried." No conditions or amendments to the resolution were recorded at the meeting.
The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Feb. 25, 2026.
