The commission was told that the $280,000 in impact fees is intended to cover park development broadly (landscaping, benches, other amenities); any costs above available funds will need to come from other sources or be carried forward as future payments.
Adam said the project team will coordinate with engineering and the community-services department to identify the precise budget available and options for covering any shortfall. Commissioners were reminded that the parks master plan could help prioritize projects and strengthen future grant applications.
Next steps: staff will return with a more detailed financial and design update at a future meeting; no final funding decision was made at this session.
