Summary
County staff said the north end of Bozeman Road is closed with about 45% completion; a safety grant application for the Highway 51/Wiserburg intersection was unsuccessful; Yandell Road plans are complete with utilities relocating ahead of a late-summer bid date.
Madison County staff provided a multi-project update that included Bozeman Road, Yandell Road, the Glutstead/Catholic intersection and a safety-grant application for Highway 51 and Wiserburg.
"We were not successful in getting that safety grant," said Keith O'Keefe, referring to the county's application for intersection safety funding at Highway 51 and Wiserburg. He said the county will reapply next year.
On Bozeman Road, O'Keefe said the north portion is closed and contractors are about 45% complete on the overall project. Rain delayed a planned opening; he said the north end is likely to reopen late next week, with traffic switched to the new portion in spring and project completion targeted in 2027.
Unidentified Speaker 2 praised the work, saying, "these these projects that we are doing and accomplished, they deserve a ribbon cut." O'Keefe thanked the group.
For Yandell Road, O'Keefe said plans are finished, right-of-way has been acquired and utilities are relocating. The county hopes to advertise for bids in late summer; contract documents call for roughly nine months of work, with the opening anticipated in 2027.
At the Glutstead and Catholic intersection, O'Keefe said construction is about 75% complete and the work should be finished in roughly three months. The updates were framed as near-term operational milestones rather than final approvals or separate procurements.
