Pickering project team reports completed plats and deeds for Yandell West; utility coordination and office-review plans proceed

Rick Ferguson, project manager for Pickering, told meeting attendees that "we have completed the acquisition plats and deeds on the Yandell West segment, 20 parcels, approximately 8.75 acres," and that the documents will be delivered to Rodaway Technologies (Mark Dye's firm) to begin the appraisal process.

Ferguson said the team plans to submit office review plans for the West segment on Feb. 20 and is "on schedule to do that." He described active utility coordination, saying the project team maintains logs of contacts and has either sent plans or plan-request forms to all utilities identified in those logs. Ferguson added that field review plans for the E segment were submitted in the fourth quarter and an unnamed reviewer, Tim, completed that review and cleared the team to proceed to final plans. The team expects to begin preparing plots and deeds next reporting period for the E segment, which staff estimate will involve about 40 parcels totaling just under 20 acres; there are no acquisitions yet on that segment.

Ferguson said the Yandell West appraisal work should follow once Rodaway Technologies receives maps and deeds; staff anticipate moving to right-of-way acquisitions on that portion of the project in the second quarter. A member of the meeting asked whether the West segment work extends from Route 43 back to Bainbridge; Ferguson confirmed that alignment. Meeting participants were invited to ask questions and thanked the presenters. No formal votes or motions were recorded during this update.
