Klamath County commissioners on Jan. 21 authorized the board chair to sign documents formalizing the sale of a Clackamas Street parcel described at the meeting and listed for $2,500.
The move came after counsel said authorization for staff member Stephanie Brown had been granted during a Nov. 5 executive session but that the title company was requesting public documentation because executive session minutes are closed. "So we discussed this at November 5 executive session, and we gave the board gave Stephanie Brown authorization to sign," said Unidentified Speaker 3.
Unidentified Speaker 2 moved to "authorize the board of commissioners chair . . . to sign the property sale documents for 3611-001D0-00100, Block 26, Block 65. Expedition to Nimrod River Park, Clackamas Street, Sprague River, Oregon 9769, sold as is for $2,500," and Commissioner Minty seconded the motion. Unidentified Speaker 3 and Commissioner Minty each recorded "Aye" on the motion and the chair announced the motion passed.
The board did not provide further public detail about the purchaser or the property's current use. The action authorizes the chair to complete the signing of the documents requested by the title company; the public record indicates the parcel was described and sold "as is" for $2,500 during the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 1:41 p.m.
