The superintendent described the hire as part of a transition in building administration and said Mr. Pew advanced through multiple rounds of interviews. “This is part of our transition… Tim starting to construct a building administrative team,” the superintendent said, noting committee members included current student support services director Melissa McDonald.
Administrators told the board the district plans an extensive search to fill the Northview principal post, with a process that will include administrators, union representation, parents and student leaders and is expected to be posted imminently.
The recommendation was presented to the board for consideration; the transcript does not record a subsequent formal vote on Mr. Pew’s appointment during the meeting.
