Culpeper Parks and Recreation schedules Winter Market, Twinkle Tour and March 'Twilight Eggstravaganza'

Culpeper County Parks and Recreation outlined a slate of community events during a Recreation Rundown episode, including a Winter Market, the recurring Twinkle Tour and a free Twilight Eggstravaganza on March 27.
Recreation Superintendent Tabitha Riley said the Twinkle Tour returned as a hit with 27 entries (25 homes, one church and one fire department) and substantial drive-through attendance at some sites. "We had 27 total entries…25 houses, 1 church, and 1 fire department all participated," she said, and encouraged early signups for the next edition.
Riley detailed the Winter Market set for Sunday, Feb. 1, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Field House with 46 vendors (35 in the gymnasium, 11 in classrooms), food trucks and no admission. She said the department is maintaining a wait list for vendors and directs vendors and attendees to culpeperrecreation.com and facebook.com/culpeperrecreation for registration and the most current information.
For families, Riley described the Twilight Eggstravaganza at the Culpeper Sports Complex on Friday, March 27 (gates open 5:30 p.m.). The event is free, geared to children ages 2–12 with staggered hunts and an adaptive option at 6:00 p.m. Volunteer partners include Eastern View FFA and CTEC’s HOSA; attractions will include a petting zoo, amusement rides and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Riley urged parents to register children so organizers can prepare adequate egg supplies.
Riley also said Parks and Rec will retry a Halloween light tour later in the year, accepts free sign-ups and will publish maps of addresses only. She encouraged residents to use the website or call (540) 727-3412 for details and vendor registration.
Next steps: vendor and participant registration remains open online; organizers will begin taking entries for the Twinkle Tour in August for the year-end event.
