Organizer Will Murdoch reported that the 2025 event had 2,037 registrants and strong satisfaction: "99% of the folks that filled out the survey would recommend the race and 94%... indicated that they plan to return to participate again," he told the council. He said organizers provide a 20% discount to Havre de Grace and Perryville residents, donate to local organizations and scholarships, and rely on local businesses for post-race services.
Council members praised the festival's growth and community benefits and asked that the city be credited as a sponsor where appropriate; the motion to approve the event passed by unanimous voice vote and roll-call confirmation as recorded in the meeting transcript (6–0).
The city will continue event coordination with police and public works for safety and traffic management on race day.
