The commission approved the Dec. 17 minutes and accepted the treasurer’s report for the January period. Staff reported and the commission approved payment of monthly expenses and transfers. The commission granted an extension to April 15 for a plan whose review is pending responses to the county engineer’s comments and escrow requirements.
Subdivision items without applicant representation were routinely tabled: the Joel Weaver agricultural operation (first review with a 90‑day default review period ending March 13) was tabled pending engineering and conservation district input; a proposed duplex for Steve and Linda J. Morris in Landisburg was tabled pending borough comments and sidewalk review; and a two‑lot residential plan for Kevin Johnson in Northeast Madison was also tabled for additional engineering responses.
On intergovernmental matters, the commission authorized the chair to sign a Level‑2 Local Planning Assistance (LPA) agreement for New Buffalo Borough (Level 2 = 24 staff hours). The commission also approved a letter of support for Duncannon Borough’s ARC area development grant to modernize its electrical distribution (the project and match amounts were discussed during the meeting).
Staff reported the Perry County Solid Waste Management Plan is nearing public review and that a draft ordinance will be posted for comment in the coming weeks. Annual reporting work (public‑facing annual reports and building activity summaries) and internal filings (financial interest statements) were also discussed.
What happens next: Staff will follow up on escrow and engineering comments with applicants, publish the solid‑waste ordinance draft for public review, and finalize deliverables for the March report deadlines.
