At the end of the session the chair previewed committee business for the rest of the week. Tomorrow's agenda will include a presentation from the Department of Energy about high burn-up research cask shipments that will occur across the state; the committee will also hear from the Drive to Zero Coalition, a statewide coalition focused on reducing traffic fatalities. The chair said the committee will hold a hearing on House Bill 2416, which "creates the Kansas Motorsports Venue Protection Act and provides immunity to basically racetracks from civil actions or nuisance" if the racetrack predated the residence or structure. The chair adjourned the committee with no additional business.
