Ordinance 2026-1928 (amending City Code Title 15 to clarify swimming and bathing definitions so, for example, launching a kayak is not ticketed) was adopted after brief discussion. The clerk announced the vote as passing 6–0–1; Mayor Pro Tem Lois Freeworth stated on the record that she abstained from that vote.
The council also closed public hearings and approved two new Series 12 restaurant liquor licenses: Michelle Ann Moore for Modern Agave (130 W. Gurley St., unit A), and Jeff Craig Miller for WZ Poki & Ramen (258 N. Lee Blvd., application/license #369955). Staff reported both applications met posting and review requirements; the council approved both licenses with votes recorded as 7–0.
These items were handled without extended debate and with standard findings by staff that the applications complied with posting and fee requirements.
