Troutdale committee elects chair, vice chair; reappoints members to public-safety working group
Summary
At its July 3 meeting the Troutdale Public Safety and Equity Advisory Committee elected Shelby as chair and Victoria as vice chair, reappointed Twila and Victoria to the Public Safety Services Delivery Working Group, approved April minutes and voted to take August off, setting the next meeting for Sept. 4.
The Troutdale Public Safety and Equity Advisory Committee held elections and made several procedural decisions during its July 3 meeting.
Sherry Winters nominated Shelby for committee chair; after nominations closed the committee approved Shelby as chair by voice vote. Nominations for vice chair followed; Victoria was nominated and approved by voice vote.
The committee reappointed Twila and Victoria to the Public Safety Services Delivery Working Group, a panel that advises on police and fire contract issues. The reappointments passed after a motion and voice vote.
Members also approved the April 3, 2025 meeting minutes on a motion by Sherry and a second by Marie. Toward the end of the meeting members voted to take August off and set the committee’s next regular meeting for Sept. 4; staff was asked to email the August packet and to print a few hard copies for pickup.
The meeting ended with committee comments and a voice vote to adjourn.
