Weber County recognizes planning division leader Rick Grover for leadership and culture work

The Weber County Commission recognized Rick Grover of the Planning Division during its Jan. 27 meeting for leadership and service.
Charlie (county planning staff) recounted examples of Grover’s work improving internal culture and staff conduct, including efforts to reduce profanity in staff meetings and an anecdote showing Grover’s humility and accountability. Staff prepared a small presentation and tokens of appreciation for Grover and two other colleagues (Sean and Bill).
Grover accepted the recognition, praised his staff for their professionalism and resilience, and said he appreciated the opportunity to work with the team through recent challenges in the Ogden Valley. Commissioners and staff offered brief remarks of thanks and congratulation.
The recognition was presented before the board moved on to routine consent and action items.
