The Voorhees Township School District board received a clean audit for the 2024–25 year and heard that enrollment rose by 281 students year‑over‑year, with 227 of those attributed to preschool, the superintendent and business office said.
The Voorhees Township School District Board of Education reviewed and accepted a completed audit for the 2024–25 school year that produced no audit findings or recommendations, the board secretary said.
The board secretary told members the district’s ACFR and summary audit report were on the agenda and that the audit included the general fund, special revenue (grants) and capital projects fund. "We have no audit findings or recommendations," the board secretary said, summarizing the auditors' report.
The board also heard a report on enrollment tied to the Application for State School Aid (ASSA). The board secretary said October 15 counts were reviewed by auditors and described a net enrollment increase of 281 students year‑over‑year, of which 227 were attributed to preschool and 26 to preschool providers. The secretary noted that state aid is based on those counts and that the district worked to ensure the ASSA figures were accurate.
The audit presentation included a review of enterprise funds (food service and CER), reserve balances and fund balance detail; the secretary said the enterprise fund ended the year at a small loss and that CER is self‑supporting. The district also reported $3,500 from the Burlington County Insurance Pool Joint Insurance Fund for claims performance and safety, and honored buildings & grounds employee Clark Mathis for earning a safety award.
The board did not take action beyond receiving the audit and related reports. The next scheduled board meeting is Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. in the administration building, the president said.
