The board recorded three formal approvals during its Aug. 20 meeting. Directors voted to approve the minutes from the June 18 regular meeting and the Aug. 10 board retreat. The motion to approve the minutes was moved and seconded and the board chair called the vote; the motion was recorded as unanimous.
Later, after the head of school read the personnel slate and members confirmed a typographical error in a license date, the board moved to accept the August 2024 personnel report "with stated correction." The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board also considered a contract with Ayala to provide nursing services for two students who require a nurse on site. Board members said the contract language had not changed from prior years and pricing was similar; the motion to approve the Ayala contract was seconded and recorded as unanimous.
No roll‑call tallies were taken in the public record; the minutes reflect voice votes and unanimous outcomes for the actions taken. The chair closed the meeting and reminded members of the next regular session on Sept. 17.
