Lacey Museum sets public opening for Jan. 15, invites history-talks audience to on-site program Feb. 12

Olivia Moore, adjunct curator of the Lacey Museum, announced the museum will open to the public on Thursday, Jan. 15 and asked history-talks attendees to help the staff by signing in at the end of the evening.
Moore said museum operating hours will be Thursdays and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. She described recent successful preview tours of the new space and said museum-led Lacey history tours remain available by request.
Moore invited the History Talks audience to a special in-person program titled “History Talks on-site at the new Lacey Museum” on Thursday, Feb. 12, with doors at 6 p.m. and the event scheduled for 6:30–7:30 p.m. She said sign-up is required: in person via a sign-up sheet at the venue or by emailing the museum by Friday (include name, email and phone). Moore said organizers will use the sign-ups to manage capacity and will contact registrants with logistics.
Moore also said the museum will continue monthly themed crafts and other programming and encouraged attendees to subscribe to the museum newsletter to receive updates. The museum co-presented the program with the library system.
The museum’s next programs and volunteer or tour requests can be handled via the email address displayed during the program or through the museum’s website; Moore reminded online attendees to include contact details in their registration emails.
