During new business on Jan. 27 the board moved to approve superintendent recommendations grouped as resolutions C1–C49 (certified) and NC and G series (noncertified and general items). The motion was moved by Albert and seconded by Shante.
The board heard public comment, including remarks from Kevin Pettergast, president of the teachers association, who noted the district’s retirees represent more than 1,000 years of combined service. The superintendent read a list of retirements and years of service; the board proceeded to roll-call voting on the grouped personnel actions with affirmative votes recorded by the members present.
The board also recognized donations: $3,000 in grocery-store gift cards from Cops for a Cause and $2,100 from the Woodrow Wilson alumni fund.
A roll call was recorded on the personnel and retirement resolutions; members present answered affirmatively when polled. No roll-call tallies showing nay votes or abstentions appear in the transcript.
