Board approves consent agenda including park IGAs and tax refunds

The Marion County Board of Commissioners approved the consent agenda at its Jan. 28 meeting, adopting a board order establishing committee appointments for 2026 and a slate of routine administrative actions.

Items in the consent package included notice of the hearings officer’s decision denying administrative review in case 25-015 (Remington Bess LLC on behalf of Niels, Paul Jensen and Irma Jensen Joint Revocable Trust) and scheduling final consideration on Feb. 4, 2026, to adopt an administrative ordinance related to conditional-use case 24-038 (TLM Holdings LLC) to replace withdrawn Ordinance No. 1485 (dated Dec. 17, 2025).

The sheriff’s office items included approval to add two incoming-funds amendments to intergovernmental agreements with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department for law-enforcement services at state parks (each amendment added a "not to exceed" amount of $75,000, yielding new totals stated in the record of $325,000 and $280,625 for separate agreements) and approval of an incoming-funds grant agreement with the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission for jail-based medications for opioid use disorder. The precise dollar amount for the latter grant appeared unclear in the meeting record.

The tax office order designated the Woodburn Independent as the newspaper for publication of the 2026 Marion County tax-foreclosure list, and the board approved property-tax refunds for two accounts: Front Street Properties (account 582541) in the amount of $26,022.05 and Philip Weaver (account 322450) in the amount of $40,280.21.

The motion to approve the consent agenda was made, seconded and approved by the board.
