City Attorney introduced Ordinance 2026-51 — a proposed amendment to the fire code to add sections requiring that documentation for fire protection system inspection, testing and maintenance be submitted electronically through an approved third‑party vendor for commercial occupancies. The ordinance was presented on first reading with council approval to advance the measure; the fire marshal and the authority having jurisdiction would administer and enforce the requirement if adopted on final reading.
