Commissioners reviewed a flyer and a proposed panel for a "Constructive Conversations" event that will feature four contributors: Natalie Arroyo (supervisor), Robert Black (city attorney, Eureka), Amy Nelson (city manager, Fortuna) and Sarah Schafer (council member, Arcata). Speaker 5, who is leading the event planning, said Mary Jelenas will lead the session and asked commissioners to help recruit about 50 attendees.
Peter presented outreach materials and a nomination list for participants, and commissioners agreed to send suggested edits. Commissioners also discussed Venmo and online payment logistics for event donations; Jamie is coordinating a Venmo account and expected to finalize the link soon.
