The Fresno County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an application for an ABC Type 20 license (off-sale beer and wine) for Pinehurst Market LLC at 53830 North Highway 245 in Miramonte.
Ron Alexander of the Administrative Office explained the Type 20 license criteria, noted there were four existing off-sale licenses in the census tract (the census tract allows three), and reported that the closest existing license is about 13.6 miles from the proposed site. Staff also said the Department of Public Works found no zoning issues and the Sheriff's Department reviewed the application. County staff received multiple letters of support and one letter of opposition from a nearby business (Pinehurst Lodge Bar & Grill), which holds a Type 47 license.
Owner Ashley Atkinson spoke in support and said she was available to answer questions. After board discussion and a public comment period, the board moved to approve the license; the motion passed unanimously.
The board did not attach additional conditions in the hearing and recorded no separate vote breakdown beyond unanimous approval.
