Tiburon Fire officials introduced McKenna Romero as the district’s new fire investigator and inspector.
"My name is McKenna Romero. I am Tiburon's, fire investigator and inspector," Romero said, identifying that she will supervise Gary Lisonbee and DJ Heckler and report to Chief Danny Elkington. Romero said she has about seven years of experience with Southern Marin Fire District and has worked on evacuations, plan review, inspections and investigations, including developing local evacuation maps.
Officials said the position functions like a supervisory, deputy-fire-marshal role focused on code enforcement, inspections and investigations; the town confirmed office space is shared with other staff at Station 11. Romero said she looks forward to working with the community on those responsibilities.
