Miss McLean, speaking from the administrative staff, told the committee, "This is the first amendment we've done to the original budget for this year," and explained the capital amendment resulted from reconciliations after the audit. She identified routine state-related movements on the district ledger, including the annual restart transfer, VIF transfers and CTE-related transfers.
Committee members asked clarifying questions about the need for the adjustments and whether funds were available. Miss McLean said the additional state funds were "very normal" after the initial budget and that small reconciliations are common when district and county ledgers are aligned post-audit. The committee then voted to send the amendment package to the full board for consideration.
The referral means the full board will consider formal adoption and any additional adjustments following the audit reconciliation. No dollar totals beyond the capital amendment note were discussed in detail during the committee vote.
