Engineering staff and the city manager confirmed the project will be coordinated with planned YMCA parking work and that MUTCD guidelines preclude an RRFB at a stop‑controlled intersection; staff will evaluate best locations for any push‑button flashing crosswalks as part of follow‑up work.
Council approved a motion to direct staff to install the 4‑way stop, provide accessible crossings, remove the chicanes, and return with implementation details.
