Alderman Pollock presented utility items on the consent agenda that included a proposed engineering agreement with Benton Engineering for painting the Veterans Park elevated storage tank (1,500,000-gallon capacity). A Benton Engineering representative said the last full coating work dated to 2002–2003 and that the current effort will be more routine surface preparation rather than a full tear-down to bare metal.
The consent agenda—containing the engineering agreement, bid advertisement for the painting contract and payment authorizations from the Waterworks and Sewage Project Fund—was approved by roll call as part of the meeting's consent items.
