Medford School Committee approves superintendent evaluation, elects officers and adopts committee assignments

The Medford School Committee on Jan. 26 approved a compiled evaluation of Interim Superintendent Dr. Galusi and completed several governance actions, including officer elections, committee assignments and an external appointment.
Member Olapade presented a synthesized evaluation using DESE-aligned standards and SMART‑goal language; the committee voted to approve the compiled evaluation for submission to the state on a roll call of 7 affirmative, 0 negative. The evaluation combined individual member ratings and narrative feedback across student‑learning, professional‑practice and district‑improvement goals and the DESE performance standards.
Following the evaluation vote, the committee held officer elections.
