Commissioners signaled openness to drafting an ordinance amendment. One commissioner proposed 11:00 p.m. as a target closing time; others said they had heard correspondence and wanted staff to prepare language for the next meeting. The mayor clarified the ordinance-change process requires a first reading followed by a second reading at a subsequent meeting before any change would take effect.
