Chair Melanie Sachs identified Alex Buckner, the district manager who testified at the public hearing, as attending by Zoom.
Representative Chris Kessler moved that LD 2043 "ought to pass" and Representative Matt McIntyre seconded. The committee proceeded to a roll-call vote. Representatives Webb, Paul, Warren, Sachs, Kessler, Foster, McIntyre and Bronte and Senators Harrington and Lawrence voted yes; the chair announced "10 in favor" and recorded three absentees.
What happens next: With committee approval, LD 2043 will move forward in the legislative process. The committee noted the public-process questions and that the district manager had given prior testimony by Zoom.
