Douglas County approves slate of seven appointments to boards and committees

The appointments included Commissioner Anderson continuing on the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) steering committee; Commissioner Kelly continuing on Workforce 1 and the Economic Development Corporation (EDC); Commissioner Dorsey continuing on the MPO transportation committee; Commissioner Willie continuing on the KU Innovation Project; and Commissioner Anderson agreeing to take a seat on the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council (CJCC).
The board voted 5–0 to approve the slate and indicated that commissioners will coordinate internally on assignments moving forward.
The item was presented as a housekeeping governance action to ensure continuity on multiagency and intergovernmental committees for 2026.
