Philomath committee updates: volunteer recruitment, postal food drive and Pride logistics

Chair Amanda Polly said a volunteer recruitment meeting yielded new volunteers and organizers are seeking additional helpers. She asked interested residents to contact flowwithpride@gmail.com or the event Instagram account to join volunteer rotations; the committee aims to meet twice a month while planning through June.
On the postal food drive, Sherwood noted the national postal drive materials will be distributed by postal workers (postcards scheduled to be mailed on March 3) and that local postal union sponsorship will cover postage; volunteers will be needed to meet postal trucks and transfer donations to PCS when trucks are full.
Pride planning: the main Pride event remains scheduled for June 28; additional planning meetings and a small planning group approach were discussed to divide responsibilities.
Committee members also noted upcoming community calendar items (fellowship meeting May 15 at the Pullman Museum Moreland Room) and rodeo/frolic activity that will affect volunteer schedules in June and July.
Next steps: committee members will continue outreach, confirm volunteer rosters and use a shared folder to circulate materials and final calendar items.
