At a reopened public hearing on Jan. 27, Eversource representatives described a continuation of a prior petition to install roughly 154 feet of underground conduit from manhole 9500 on Embury/Amory Street to private property at 14 Edgemont Street. Channel Grant and Kelly Correa said the condominium association ultimately agreed to proceed after on-site meetings and written responses to abutter questions addressing scope and billing.
Select Board members asked procedural clarifying questions about who requested the upgrade and whether abutters could take advantage of the new capacity for EV charging. Kelly Correa said the upgrade was intended to serve the Thatchmont condominium units and that adjacent properties would need to contact Eversource separately to request service; she provided guidance to an abutter about how to initiate a work order.
With no additional public comment when the Select Board reopened and then closed the hearing, Chair Bernard Green moved approval of the petition. Board members indicated aye votes and the petition was approved.
No changes to obligations or detailed contract terms were recorded in the meeting minutes; the action recorded was the Select Board's approval of Eversource's grant-of-location petition as described in the filing.
