SCRTD elects 2026 officers, adopts meeting calendar

All officer votes were recorded in roll calls and approved by the assembled quorum. The board also approved a resolution adopting the 2026 meeting schedule (fourth Wednesday of each month, 1:30 p.m., with dates noted through November and December left vacant due to the holiday season).
The board noted that attendance from members representing more distant municipalities can affect staff logistics and made a point to prefer officers located in Doña Ana County where feasible. The next regular meeting was scheduled for Feb. 25, 2026.
