The Menifee Planning Commission voted Jan. 28 to approve changes to its 2026 meeting schedule and to select the commission’s chair and vice chair for the year.
The commission agreed to cancel the Nov. 11, Nov. 25 and Dec. 23, 2026 meetings because of holiday conflicts, and commissioners asked staff to also accommodate the Planning Commission Academy date (March 11); staff confirmed they would add March 11 as requested. The item was presented by the clerk and approved after a motion and electronic vote.
In nominations required under the municipal code, a commissioner nominated Commissioner Holler for chair and the motion received a second; the nomination passed unanimously. The clerk said the new chair and vice chair positions take effect at the next meeting.
The meeting record shows the items were approved by voice/electronic vote; the transcript records "That passes" and "That passes unanimously" but does not provide a roll-call tally in the minutes excerpt.
What’s next: The new chair and vice chair will assume duties at the next scheduled meeting. The schedule adjustments will be reflected in the posted 2026 calendar.
