Santa Fe council approves IT contract amendments and a $90,000 NMDOT beautification grant

10a: The council approved Amendment No. 1 to the UKG Kronosystems contract (timekeeping), increasing compensation by $46,114.80 to add Telestaff cloud storage and ongoing cloud support services. IT Director Eric Candelaria said the increase covers cloud migration support and services that will support fire and the eventual migration of the police department into UKG.
10b: The council approved Amendment No. 2 with Altura Communications to increase the contract by $411,166.01, bringing the total to $1,238,766.08, extend the termination date to 12/31/2027 and to add Avaya maintenance and support services. Candelaria explained the extension allows the city to migrate from on-prem phone systems toward a Teams-based, cloud softphone approach.
10c: The council approved a Kay Linda Beautification Program grant agreement with the New Mexico Department of Transportation in the amount of $90,000 through 06/30/2026. Parks staff said the grant requires three community events, supports litter control along the river, and will fund new trash bins for placement along the Santa Fe River.
Each measure was moved, seconded, and approved by roll-call vote; councilors present recorded 'yes' votes for the items as read into the record.
