City leaders urged local participation in two forthcoming community events. The mayor and alderpersons outlined a District 3 engagement session about the wastewater treatment site at 1300 Cleveland Avenue and an informational meeting about proposed tiny homes for transitional living.
The engagement session for District 3 โ described as input for 1300 Cleveland Avenue โ was scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 29 at 5:30 p.m. in the conference center for the wastewater treatment plant; council leadership asked alders to let the clerk know if they plan to attend and noted a possible-quorum notice would be posted.
Alder Tierney announced an informational meeting about a tiny-homes transitional living project organized with Northern Valley Workshop. The meeting is set for Feb. 12 at Station Number 2; the public meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. and the project's board of directors will be available at 5:30 p.m.
Council members encouraged colleagues and nearby residents to attend to provide feedback during these sessions. No formal votes or approvals on either project occurred at the Jan. 27 meeting.
