Selectmen approve change of manager at Lewis’s Restaurant

The Town of Norwood Board of Selectmen voted Jan. 27 to approve a change-of-manager application for Lewis’s Restaurant and Grill, 92 Central Street, following a public hearing.
Colleen Patton, who identified herself as the owner of Lewis’s Restaurant and Grill, told the board she is assuming the manager role and that operations and staffing will remain unchanged. “I’m the owner now,” Patton said.
Madam Chair opened the public hearing, the licensing notice under Massachusetts General Laws chapter 138, section 12 was read into the record, and members of the board had no additional questions for the applicant.
Mister Donnelly moved to close the public hearing; the motion was seconded by Mister Lane and carried by voice vote. Mister Donnelly then moved to approve the change-of-manager application; the motion was seconded by Mister Saad and recorded as unanimous, 4 to 0.
The board’s approval authorizes the town licensing board to process the formal license paperwork under state law. No public opposition or conditions were recorded in the hearing.
What happens next: The town will complete any administrative steps required by the licensing board and notify the applicant when the change is final and posted to the licensing record.
