Parks and Recreation will continue using Florida Elite Umpires for officiating services, and GIS support with Flipside Geographics was renewed at $80,000.
Finance staff presented a budget amendment to appropriate PFAS public‑water settlement receipts totaling $4,447,905.85; staff noted two settlement payments had been received and the amendment places the funds into the utility budget. The village also ratified a $15,093.55 grant from the Florida Department of Agriculture’s Urban and Community Forestry Capacity Grant Program for invasive‑species removal and planting in a Wellington Trace area.
On insurance, staff recommended renewing property, casualty and workers’ compensation coverage with the Florida Municipal Insurance Trust; the renewal premium was stated in the meeting as $1,057,795, which staff said was $285,479 less than the current year’s premium.
