The Moroni City Council approved two personnel items affecting part-time office staff.
Council voted to raise Cheryl’s hourly wage to $20.00 (an increase of $1.10/hr) to address pay parity and growing responsibilities. Councilor Draper moved the raise and Councilor Green seconded; members approved the motion.
The council also voted to increase staff member Ashley’s weekly hours from 10 to 28 while retaining her part-time classification to handle expanded duties including activity coordination and cemetery support. Councilor Taylor moved the change and Acton seconded; the motion carried with recorded affirmative votes.
Councilors said the adjustments will help office continuity, reduce overreliance on individual employees and allow smoother administration of upcoming events and budgeting tasks.
