District operations and facilities staff detailed a multi‑year capital program that has delivered building‑level upgrades and remains on a planning track informed by a state‑required Building Condition Survey.
Miss McAllister said the LaShea Kill Auditorium finished this fall and praised work on the building facade, noting replacements of windows and exterior walls for safety, weatherization and energy efficiency. She said many classrooms received new heating and air‑conditioning systems intended to be more energy efficient "and more comfortable for our students." Two new nurses’ suites opened this month, she added.
At the high school, administrators described renovations to locker rooms and team rooms, a refreshed gym, a new fitness center overlooking the gym, and renovation of roughly 30 classrooms over the past two years. Outside, Ambrosio Field received artificial turf, new bleachers, an upgraded concession area and a scoreboard.
The presentation acknowledged the scale and cost of the work but framed it as an investment that supports program retention and staff recruitment. Officials thanked the community for voter support of capital funding and said the Building Condition Survey — required by the state — will help prioritize the next phase of projects.
What’s next: leaders said they will use the outcome of the Building Condition Survey to shape future projects and noted that planning for maintenance and sustainability will continue through the coming school year. No formal adoption of new capital projects or bond measures occurred during the presentation.
