Board approves minutes, personnel slate, policies, field trip and finance items (all votes unanimous)

At the Jan. 28 meeting, the Wallingford School Board approved a series of consent and action items by unanimous roll-call votes.

Minutes: The board approved minutes from the Dec. 22, 2025 regular meeting. The motion was moved by Mr. Miller and seconded by Ms. Switzette; the roll call recorded the motion as passing 9–0.

Personnel: A slate of personnel items (resignations, retirements, appointments, leaves, changes in position or salary, conference requests and supplemental assignments listed in the agenda) was moved and approved on a 9–0 roll-call vote.

Policy: The board approved first-read policies and noted that administrative regulations (ARs) provide operational detail while policy states the what and why; the policy items passed on roll-call (9–0).

Curriculum: A field-trip item described in the agenda was approved on a 9–0 vote (details in the board packet).

Finance & facilities: Fourteen items were approved, including bills paid to vendors (Dec. 2025), the Dec. 2025 financial statements and treasurer’s report, budget transfers, the annual financial report and local audit for 2024–25, updates to fund-balance commitments, and vendor agreements; the board noted no audit findings for the period. The vote was recorded as 9–0.

Board members and the meeting secretary conducted the roll calls during each vote; where motions and seconds were mentioned in the record they are noted above. Several board members complimented the business office for a clean audit and no findings.
