Bayside Village opens at Crowley property; city reports first residents and on-site services

Davis and outreach staff explained residents sign leases and accrue rental history; rent is modest and a sponsorship/scholarship program helps residents who cannot pay so those funds can later be returned to assist with move-in costs and deposits for permanent housing transitions.
Council members thanked staff and community partners for the years-long effort to develop the facility and requested continued updates; staff said additional site improvements remain but the program focus has shifted from construction to service delivery.
