During an executive session the committee considered House Bill 2338, which would authorize community‑scaled projects as eligible project types under the Low Income Weatherization Program administered by the Department of Commerce. Committee staff Don Eichner briefed members that there were no amendments to the bill.
Vice Chair Parsley moved that HB 2338 be reported out of committee with a "do pass" recommendation. Members spoke in support, noting the environmental and efficiency benefits of weatherization delivered at community scale. The committee conducted a voice roll-call vote; staff announced "there are 17 aye and 2 excused," and the chair confirmed that House Bill 2338 had been reported out of committee with a due pass recommendation.
The committee then closed executive session and returned to its public work session.
