Hampden staff outline AV, security and stormwater plans for new town hall

Staff said a single coordinated approach would reduce ad-hoc repairs and vendor fragmentation and make prioritization clearer for the facilities manager.
On stormwater, staff reported the town is behind a required best‑management‑practice demonstration project tied to the stormwater permit. A design estimate for a demonstration BMP was discussed at about $30,000; staff suggested that the town pursue MVP program funding to cover design and administration if the board wants to proceed. No funding was approved at the meeting; staff said they would return with proposals and cost estimates.
